The IQ4000 cPCI chassis can house up to 11 high-density, multi-functional network interface blades (TDM or VoIP, or a combination of both), for a total shelf capacity of 170T1s (4080ports), or 4096 VoIP channels. When the IQ4000’s configuration includes a VoIP, TDM, and Media blade, together with our VSOS operating system, it delivers full next generation functionality (the softswitch connection control, media gateway, media server, and SS7 signaling gateway) with no interoperability issues. Based on state-of-the-art cPCI technology, the IQ4000 also includes a patent-pending, dual Ethernet, call-control link architecture that provides a highly reliable, high-bandwidth communication path between the host application and the switch—offering 99.999% availability with no single point of failure.
