Solution Design
The core elements of a VoIP-based Calling Card Solution include:
A VoIP Gateway that supports RADIUS/AAA (CISCO, Quintum, etc), which plays the role of the interface for the originated call from the PSTN (caller's phone) to the IP network (Internet).

EurotelSat OriginaVoIP Pro Billing Software, which is a real-time billing software that keeps track of the call and its corresponding charges. OriginaVoIP Pro runs on Windows 2000 Server using the Microsoft SQL-Server200 database platform.

IVR (Interactive Voice Response) server, which provides the voice prompts describing the account balance and minutes available for the call

How It Works
The caller dials in using either the local or 800 phone number of the service provider

The VoIP gateway, with the assistance of the IVR server, will prompt the caller to enter the PIN (Calling Card or Account) number

Once the PIN is entered, the system will authenticate the caller, prompt the VoIP Gateway to announce the account balance to the caller, and invite the caller to dial the destination number

After the Destination number is entered, the system will calculate and make the Gateway play the maximum call duration to the caller. Once the call is completed, it will deduct the call charge from the caller's account balance.
